Happy Monday!

Wow, what a fabulous weekend! I had another FUN date, finished reading two books, watched Michael Moore’s Slacker Uprising AND stopped to appreciate all of the beautiful colors starting to emerge around my property. On top of that, I decided that Elysia is going to be traditionally homeschooled from now on instead of doing charter [...]

Site Update: Under construction

I continued work on my official author site last week. It’s coming along slowly but surely. Hopefully, I’ll have it ready to share with everyone very soon. I plan to tie my site into my blog for a really streamlined experience for my readers.

Summer’s over, fall is here.

Welp, fall has arrived and it makes me a little sad to see everything dying. I try to remind myself this is part of the cycle, death is a necessary part so that everything can be reborn and beautiful in six months or so. I could do without the blizzard this year, if I’m being [...]

Welcome to my blog!

I’m currently editing the content to include my original works of fiction. You can look forward to reading poems, short stories, excerpts from my novels, and general rants and ramblings. I will also create a small section with a sampling of my business and academic works; however, those aren’t really my babies. They paid the [...]

Where did August go?

I’m obviously behind on making my weekly posts. Week Five of Think Sideways threw me for a loop but I’m working through it, slowly but surely. I’m still kind of focusing on Week Four with the “one sentence” technique. The best part, or Eureka! moment, so far in my seven weeks of learning from Holly [...]

Week Two – My Sweet Spot Assignment

Okay, I have to admit I was a little intimidated by week two’s lesson and assignment, mostly because it dealt exclusively with clustering / mind mapping and I had only ever used that during my time at university. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find all of the exercises VERY fun. My computer decided to [...]

Week One – Victim and Feel

Yes, I skipped both of these assignments. Why? Because I don’t wrestle with either of these. I’m a Gemini so I’m pretty evenly balanced between the THINK and FEEL of who I am, what I see and what I do. I rarely, if ever, begin my sentences with “I feel…” because I’m usually thinking, not [...]

Week One – My Perfect Assignment

I knew from this section’s first sentence on the PERFECT barrier, I had run face first into the cement wall holding me back from moving forward on my path to writing success. I have a terrible fear of people reading my work and finding it boring, poorly written, filled with silly mistakes; basically, wreaking of [...]
